Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga, developed by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India, follows the teachings of R. Sharath Jois at Yoga Shala Bangkok. It is a self-led practice where students learn postures gradually, linking breath and movement. The approach accommodates all levels, allowing beginners and experienced practitioners to practice together in a supportive environment. The practice aims to purify the body, promoting strength, flexibility, and stability while emphasizing consistent, gradual progress.
